Status of the tmLQCD software suite on heterogenous architectures

  • Dr. Bartosz KOSTRZEWA

Primary authors

As we march towards the exa-scale, the surge of hybrid architectures, long SIMD vector lengths, low bandwidth memory subsystems, caches and networks has made it extremely challenging for Lattice QCD codes to retain both high single node performance and good scaling properties in this heterogeneous environment. In order to have access to efficient kernel implementations and the latest solvers, the short-term strategy of the ETM collaboration has been to interface with libraries such as QUDA, QphiX and DDalphaAMG. In this talk I will discuss the status of the tmLQCD software suite and our libary interfaces and show how easily these can be used. In addition, some benchmarks will be shown and measurements of overheads presented.
